A little care keeps the things you love feeling like themselves. Find the right way to wash, dry and store your UMI pieces.
Find your fabric
Knitwear
For Basic and Appearance knitwear in the blends shown below. Gentle washing and flat drying help preserve their shape and soft texture.
Basic
75% Tencel · 20% linen · 5% spandex
Appearance
60% lyocell · 35% viscose · 5% spandex
For pieces with pearls or other embellishments, ask us before washing or steaming the complete piece.
Need help?Washing
Machine wash inside out at up to 30°C on a delicate cycle, using a laundry bag and low spin. Do not bleach, use fabric softener or wring. Use a mild detergent.
Drying
Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry. Gently reshape and dry away from direct sunlight and heat.
Steaming & ironing
If ironing is needed, use low heat on the reverse side with a pressing cloth. For steaming, use low-temperature steam without pressing directly on the fabric.
Storage
Store folded. Avoid placing heavy items on top, and keep perfume and oils off the fabric.
Snags
Avoid rough surfaces and sharp jewellery. Do not pull or cut snagged threads; contact us if you need help.
Cotton
For the Voluminous Top.
100% cotton
Washing
Machine wash at up to 30°C with similar colours. Do not bleach.
Drying
Lay flat or hang to dry. Do not tumble dry.
Ironing
Iron at up to 150°C.
Extra care
Do not dry clean.
Lace
For the Bandeau Top Lace and Maxi Skirt Lace.
Lace fabric
78% cotton · 22% nylon
Washing
Machine wash at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Do not bleach or wring.
Drying
Dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
Ironing
Iron inside out at up to 110°C, avoiding the lace.
Extra care
Do not dry clean.
Seersucker
For the Halter Striped Top and Striped Shorts.
100% cotton
Washing
Machine wash at up to 30°C with similar colours. Do not bleach.
Drying
Lay flat or hang to dry. Do not tumble dry.
Ironing
Iron at up to 110°C without pressing the texture flat.
Extra care
Do not dry clean.
Jacquard
For the Trapeze Jacquard Dress in black, and the Jacquard Mini Skirt and Bandeau Jacquard Dress in white.

Dry clean only. Tell your cleaner that the natural pearl is fixed to the dress. Do not apply steam, perfume or cleaning products directly to the pearl.

The finishing touch
Baroque pearls
After wearing, gently wipe pearls with a soft, dry cloth. Keep them away from heat and store the piece separately in a soft pouch.
Do not apply steam, perfume or cleaning products directly to pearls. Do not pull or detach pearls fixed to a garment.
